Founder of Creole HeartBeat, Leroy ‘Wadix’ Charles, has said more support is needed from corporate entities for the Cadence-Lypso Golden Jubilee and Gospel Festival.
He made the disclosure during a live interview on State-Owned Radio DBS on Friday.
“The people are excited; we are very elated to receive the response of the people, but in terms of the corporate entities, we are not close to what we expected,” Charles said.
He continued, “Whether it’s Creole HeartBeat alone or whether it’s with corporate sponsorship, it is incumbent on us to celebrate the achievement of the Cadence legends, and myself over 40 years of my life promoting calypso music…”
According to Charles, it is important to celebrate Dominica’s living ancestors and the memory of those who have passed on.
