St. Kitts-Nevis Cable Communications Limited, known commonly as The Cable, is celebrating a milestone anniversary this year. Like the nation of St Kitts & Nevis, the company turns 40 on September 19, 2023. It was on this day that the company officially received the green light to operate in St Kitts & Nevis. In fact, its first broadcast was the live coverage of independence activities, in September 1983.
The Cable, still affectionately called Cable TV by many of its longest serving loyal customers, provides TV and Internet services in St. Kitts and is the first and currently, the only non-financial institution that offers a customer loyalty prepaid card.
“As a fully locally-owned company that provides telecoms services in St. Kitts, we are proud of our achievements and are proud of our brand. We have made Internet service affordable, available and accessible to all, ensuring that our people can compete with confidence in the global space, and we have helped immensely in advancing the cause of our people across all spectrums of our community”, said Pat Walters, the company’s first female Chief Executive Officer.
